Founded in 2011, THE ICONIC has grown from 50 employees to more than 300 across two locations in Sydney.

Challenges

THE ICONIC needed to further drive employee satisfaction, engagement and motivation, workplace enjoyment and social interaction at all levels within the organisation.

Kirsteen Tolentino, HR generalist, THE ICONIC, said, “Employee recognition has always been a key priority at THE ICONIC and we just needed a way to make recognition and engagement more public, visible, and accessible to everyone in the company. We also wanted to facilitate collaboration and communication across different locations and departments.”

Currently, more than 90% of THE ICONIC’s workforce is under 35, with a very innovative, technology-driven company culture. Any solution the company adopted needed to appeal to that demographic to ensure strong uptake among staff.

Solution

THE ICONIC adopted REFFIND’s  employee recognition platform, WooBoard to drive existing internal employee recognition initiatives.

The social media style of the platform appealed to the staff’s demographic, assisting with its uptake among employees.

Results

Kirsteen Tolentino said, “Today more than 75% of our employees are actively using WooBoard to recognise their peers and celebrate our successes. Staff across the organisation can easily see who is being recognised and why. It’s a positive feedback loop; you see all the wonderful things people are doing and it inspires more of the same.

“Because the platform is social, employees log-in daily. It’s become a forum for discussion and new ideas, which helps drive our engagement programs. For managers, WooBoard offers monthly activity reports where we can see how employees are engaging and which staff members are excelling in their roles. For new recruits, WooBoard makes it easy to get a sense of the company culture and helps them get to know their colleagues better.
